HAY OPTIONS

BOARD includes coastal hay. However we recognize that some horses need alternative options in their diets. Rather than setting a ridiculously high boarding rate to cover the costs of these options, we offer them as an upgrade to our clients so they are able to purchase only what they need. See below for options:

COASTAL - WE FEED A PREMIUM FERTILIZED COASTAL HAY BOUGHT DIRECTLY FROM THE GROWER. WE BUY FROM THE SAME FARM EVERY YEAR FOR A CONSISTENTLY SUPERIOR PRODUCT.

ALFALFA - ALFALFA IS A ROUGH FORAGE HAY THAT IS HIGHER IN PROTEIN AND OFTEN MORE PALATABLE THAN TYPICAL GRASS HAYS. IT IS HIGH IN ENERGY AND AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF VITAMINS AND MINERALS. BOARDERS HAVE THE OPTION TO ADD ALFALFA HAY TO THEIR HORSES DIET AS NEEDED (UPCHARGES APPLY,  SEE RATES PAGE)
